Job Description

You will be required to deal with senior management and business end users. The ultimate goal will be to enhance and increase system functionality.

Essentials:
  • Experience working as a BA in a technology team in a financial services or professional services.
  • An in-depth understanding of business analysis (including knowledge of at least one requirements management / modelling tool), and with the ability to select the right tools / methodologies for a given task
  • Extensive experience of business process mapping and on-boarding workflows.
  • Acted as Senior BA to deliver ERP or CRM to Finance teams
  • Understanding of Finance processes
  • Experience of writing test plans, scripts, and cases
  • A good understanding of the technology project lifecycle of both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
  • The ability to work effectively with all levels of clients and IT stakeholders, up to and including Director
  • Excellent communications skills - both written and verbal, with technical and non-technical audiences, over multiple locations
  • Systems and data analysis skills, including SQL, Oracle and desktop data analysis tools. Data modelling / warehousing experience would be an advantage
The main responsibilities of the role include:
  • Understanding business requirements and translating these into functional requirements and application changes
  • Ensuring that the development teams deliver on these by validating as part of testing
  • Taking accountability for individual analysis work streams and leading junior BA's
  • Transforming high-level business goals into low-level requirements to define the scope of a project
  • Gathering, verifying, analysing and documenting of business requirements
  • Being responsible for data and systems analysis to support documentation and understanding of the as-is and to-be state
  • Gaining client and IT sign-off of requirements documents and specifications by conducting walkthroughs, presentations and formal reviews
  • Working closely with the development teams to develop functional specifications and technical designs
  • Planning, scripting, managing and executing acceptance testing - User Acceptance Testing (UAT), with the client performing execution and acceptance testing prior to UAT start.
  • Planning and executing user training on new systems
