Job Description

Global Professional Services Organisation is looking for a .NET Developer to join their team! With a significant number of new initiatives and projects, they are looking for you to work across a number of them on a 6-month initial contract.

Key responsibilities:
  • Development and documentation of requested enhancements and customisations for 3rd party software solutions
  • Development and documentation of custom software solutions and continued enhancements to satisfy business requirements
  • Complete technical developments in accordance with the Solution Delivery Framework and industry best-practices e.g. source code control, backup schedules, deployment of releases
  • A transition of developed solutions to BAU IT teams for ongoing support and management
  • Actively seek to understand industry developments, in particular, opportunity to provide new solutions for legal business processes
  • Comply with WHS obligations and responsibilities in accordance with the requirements for this role as set out on the intranet
Qualifications, skills and experience;
  • Extensive experience with successful software development, including a detailed working knowledge of the following technologies; .Net, C#, XML, SQL, IIS, PowerShell, a Workflow model
  • Very strong understanding of the Software Development lifecycle and change management principles
  • 4+ years of experience in software development, preferably C#, .Net, Windows Forms, SQL, XML
  • Experience with IT software development and configuration, ideally with Microsoft technologies including Team Foundation Server
  • Experience with software development processes e.g AGILE
  • Strong ability to understand business needs and translate these into realistic IT solution oriented requirements
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholder expectations including business users and IT support functions
  • Working knowledge of IT Service Management following the ITIL methodology for change management, incident and problem
  • Microsoft SharePoint (desirable)
