Reporting to the leadership team, this is a senior position designed a guiding the business through a period of technological change.
- Engage pro-actively with the business area leadership team. Develop effective working relationships in order to be a trusted, strategic partner to the business area on how Technology can be leveraged for innovation and competitive advantage.
- Provide thought leadership to the business concerning the potential and use of technology; inform and educate business leaders on emerging technology trends and capabilities; identify opportunities to adopt new technology and prove concepts.
- Develop in depth understanding of corporate strategies, goals and plans and collaborate on translating corporate strategies and needs into clear outcomes for Technology solutions and services. Contribute to the business area's annual budgeting and strategic planning processes.
- Provide the voice of Technology Services in the business area and the voice of the business area and customers within Technology Services.
- Lead Technology Services' contribution to influencing and managing demand, gathering requirements, assessing options, designing and recommending solutions.
- Support planning and capacity management within Technology Services by keeping the function sighted on business strategy, plans and thinking. Identify areas of capability shortfall and support Technology Services in addressing
- Oversee programme/project initiation; help develop plans, ideas and develop business cases for new investments.
- A strong background in a similar role, with solid experience of Business Engagement and Technology Relationship Management at a senior level.
- A great high-level understanding of technology, including an appreciation of industry trends and emerging technologies, is essential for this role.
- Experience contributing to corporate strategy through championing the use of technology, developing innovative solutions to business problems and challenging existing paradigms where the opportunity for improvement exists
