The Opportunity:

Work with this well branded and recognised Australian Not for Profit! Our client is a leading provider in disability assistance across NSW and is looking for an experienced and passionate Enterprise Risk Manager to join the team. With a large focus on operational risk this role takes responsibility for managing and promoting best practice across all risk, both financial and non-financial, by working closely with the General Managers and other risk owners in the business. This new role for the business has come about because of rapid growth in the business and has the opportunity to mature and evolve the existing frameworks and policies. Working on a full time basis candidates need to have a technical risk background, preferably in the human services industry, with a proactive, consultative and confident approach. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Applying and promoting best practice methodology
  • Implement and mature the risk management framework
  • Promote a risk and compliance culture within the business
  • Provide internal/external training on risk management
  • Oversee the management and administration of the risk management system and records
  • Support the risk owners in the business to identify, analyse and manage key risks
  • Provide advice and reporting to the business and Board/Executive on the risk management framework
  • Travel to NSW based sites as required
 
About you:
  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in a risk management role
  • Experience in the Healthcare/Community Services sector would be desirable
  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • Experience promoting best practice in risk management
  • Knowledge and experience of building a risk management system in accordance with IS 31000
  • Preferable experience leading and managing stakeholders
  • Self-motivated and highly organised
  • Experience managing presentations and training
  • Advanced analytical and planning ability
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability and eagerness to build strong relationships with staff
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong capability and confidence with technology, especially Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work in a small, close knit team, and autonomously
