Job Description

Prestigious Australian Education Based Organisation is looking for an ERP Functional Consultant industry agnostic. You will assist with a Student Information Systems implementation. You will be responsible for ensuring configuration and functionalities of their Student Information System making sure this is aligned is aligned with business requirements and delivered methodically following rigorous software life cycle.

Student Information Systems ERP Functional/Technical Consultant will acquire knowledge of SIS functionalities and capabilities to guide and lead business SMEs and project team on the recommendation of solutions.

Student Information Systems ERP Functional/Technical Consultant will be responsible for driving increase accountability by providing input in design and implementation of SIS and continuous improvement across function owners and SMEs in gaining of system knowledge.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Configure modules in partnership with vendor SME’s within the Student Information System
  • Providing quality end-user and project team consultation and support
  • Proven ability to lead and guide functional configuration in an ERP implementation with working knowledge of technical capabilities
  • Proven ability to populate and test system rules and validation tables within an ERP configuration
  • Facilitating business process review and application prototyping sessions as well as providing business process analysis and insight into best practice methodologies
  • Acquire knowledge of the Student Information System functional modules from Admission to Graduation including Accounts Receivable
  • Building relationships with functional work groups and business SME’s to ensure there is a smooth transfer of knowledge
  • Preparing functional requirements for conversion, reporting and integration
  • Providing guidance in the formulation and coordination of an end-user training strategy
  • Demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and self-starter attitude
  • Comply with safety instructions in the work environment and be familiar with occupational health and safety procedures
  • Taking reasonable care of your own health and safety as well as that of other people who may be affected by your conduct in the workplace
  • Seeking guidance about any new or modified work procedures
  • Ensuring that any hazardous conditions are eliminated or minimised and that near misses and injuries are reported immediately to your supervisor
  • Participating in meetings, training and other health and safety activities as required
  • Co-operating with instructions given by emergency response personnel such as emergency wardens and first aiders
  • Ensuring proper use of all safety devices and personal protective equipment
  • Co-operating with activities relating to compliance with occupational health and safety legislation
  • Maintain Standards for RTOs 2015 and the Higher Education Standards Framework.
  • Understand and apply the ESOS legislation Framework, the National Code 2007 and related requirements.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in an ERP Functional/Technical role(70 %functional, 30 %technical split)
  • Experience in leading and guiding business SME’s on ERP functionalities and capabilities within a large Program of works following rigorous software development cycle
  • Well-developed interpersonal and leadership skills, including the ability to influence and drive other team members, business stakeholders and customers
  • Ability to think critically and apply fact-based decision-making to resolve challenges
  • Facilitation skills to ensure teams work together to deliver program goals
  • Negotiating skills to facilitate consensus and agreement with conflicting requirements and priorities
  • Education background and experience is desirable but not essential
  • Experience and knowledge of education regulatory framework, policies and processes is desirable
