This is a newly created role offering the opportunity to be a part of an exciting phase in this start-up's growth, one which is rated among Australia's leading FinTech's by a range of respected publishings.
They are venture capital backed and have gained mass appeal in the Australian market and are looking to continue building on the momentum having recently secured a key corporate funding deal.
The primary responsibility of the Analyst is to provide financial modelling support to the finance and corporate development, business partner with function teams and assist the core accounting team on FP&A and control related tasks.
You will own the master financial forecast model (inc updating with actuals and expanding to include new products & markets etc.) for the business, assisting in modelling related tasks for budgeting, equity capital fundraising, debt capital fundraising, and M&A processes.
Finally, you will be take part in some month-end tasks around P&L analysis adn commentary, month-end close and prepare and present monthly board and management reports.
- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce or Business with CA, CPA, CFA or CIMA qualification.
- 3 years + post graduate working experience gained ideally in financial services or technology related sectors. Corporate finance / transactions experience from big 4 chartered firms will also be highly regarded.
- High aptitude in financial modelling with the ability to review current models and revise or rebuild as necessary. Including budgeting and forecasting models as well as funding models.
- Ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels, with similar confidence to discuss financial performance, business activities and strategies.
