Job Description

An opportunity to join a global investment company as a Finance and Administration Officer reporting to the Financial Controller. The candidate is responsible for providing financial and administrative services in a timely manner. 

Responsibilities include: 
  • Ensuring transactions are properly recorded and entered into the systems
  • Assist with travel organisation and expense claim management
  • Maintain financial files and records
  • Receive and verify invoices for processing
  • Process and record petty cash transactions
  • Assist to reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • General reception and administration duties
  • Establish and maintain a range of basic databases and records systems 
  • Processing mail and filing duties
  • Order and collect office consumables and stationery, kitchen and bathroom supplies
  • Arrange maintenance, servicing, delivery and pick up of office equipment and supplies as required
  • Support Board and Committee Meetings through taking minutes, organising catering, booking meeting rooms
About You:
  • Post Secondary Qualification in Business Administration, Accounting or Management preferably at Certificate IV or above.
  • Experience in a similar role 
  • Good understanding of accounting principles including accrual accounting, reconciliations, general ledger journals and preparedness to learn more complex principles
  • Proficient in the use of MYOB Advanced or similar systems
  • A high level of knowledge and competency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Confidence with the use of computer networks.
  • Experience in general reception duties
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Good communication skills with a wide range of people
  • Experience in providing general support in a small team
  • Ability to work autonomously, effectively managing own workload without continual guidance
  • Attention to detail and good time management and self organisational skills
  • Commitment to a process of continuous improvement
