Job Description

Our client is a Non-Profit organisation based in the Eastern Suburbs, specialising in a variety Disability and Youth Services.
As a CPA qualified Finance Manager you will be responsible for the smooth running of the Financial Plan Management Team of approximately 40 people. The FPM service is funded by the NDIS for all people with a Disability who wish assistance with their financial payments. As a strong people-leader, your duties will include:
  • Optimising the efficiency and performance of the Financial Plan Management service
  • Leads the development and implementation of service activities for customer engagement.
  • Responsible for the management and day to day operations of Financial Plan Management with a team of circa 40 people.
  • Provides highly effective leadership, guidance and support to the Financial Plan Management team to achieve targets and consistently deliver superior service.
  • Manages, mentors and supports Team Leaders who report directly to the role.
  • Manages, guides and supports Pod Supervisors, team members or other relevant stakeholders, in order to achieve business objectives.
  • Oversees the Financial Plan Management business systems.
  • Manages budgets and reviews monthly spending relating to all activities of the Financial Plan Management function.
  • Reviews and manages key financial and program drivers (monthly).
  • Supports Team Leaders and Pod Supervisors to conduct regular review meetings with team members in order to discuss outcomes and review operational performance.
  • Reviews and manages Financial Plan Management internal controls.
  • Oversees and has overall accountability for any required service reporting.
  • Participates in quality accreditation activities as required.
  • Has overall accountability and responsibility to ensure compliance with all legislation and standards relating to Financial Plan Management.
  • Implements mechanisms to ensure continuous quality improvement
  • CPA/CA qualified
  • Significant experience in leading teams
  • Strong commercial acumen with a continuous improvement focus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate and work closely with various stakeholders throughout the organisation and externally
