Job Description

High profile Australian ASX Listed organisation is looking for a Senior Financial Systems Analyst to work with their existing Operations team to enhance existing systems and support the project team. In this role, you will be required to provide functional and technical support for system issues and requests, analyse large volumes of data, provide solutions to customer requirements and support various projects. Provide necessary support with an eye for improvement and optimal outcomes of system processes and procedures with practical solution options and benefits that establishes appropriate expectations and business scope. The position will assist with the resolution of application issues, service improvement by identifying and responding to business opportunities and risks and improving the quality of application development outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Analyse and document the existing business processes and high-level requirements
  • Document inadequacies and propose improvements to achieve peak levels of business performance and system efficiency
  • Gather requirements and document solution design artefacts based on current templates
  • Produce detailed design and project plans, accurate costings and implement resource plans to manage project works
  • Build enhancements and resolve bugs and issues
  • Build and execute test plans and assist in test cycles
  • Implement System and user support and formal training courses throughout the software lifecycle with accompanying authored training documentation
  • Ensure that standard operating procedures (such as Change management) are always followed.
  • Use and monitor the current incident and service request system and report on missed SLAs
Qualifications and experience required:
  • 8+ years of functional and technical experience in analysis, design and implementation of Oracle ERP solutions in core financials, fixed assets, procurement and project costing and Budgeting software like BOARD
  • Minimum 3 years working experience on Oracle ERP version 12.1
  • Strong ability to communicate with internal stakeholders and external parties
  • Motivated self-starter with the proven ability to; work autonomously, meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities to meet business goals
  • Understanding of core financial processes, such as month-end closure, financial statements and budget & forecast activities
  • Technical experience with OLAP tools and BI reporting
