Job Description

Our client, a Financial Services provider have partnered exclusively with Perigon Group on the position of Financial Data Analyst to support their growing Finance Function.

This role is a core business support function who are responsible for the data interactions between the business and their clients (internal and external)

The role is accountable for the establishment of transparent, reliable and timely data by leveraging business intelligence processes and tools; and the coordination of data collection and availability across the business to help the business improve the overall experience of our internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and administer the Group’s various software platforms
  • Work with the software provider to develop data-driven solutions to any delivery challenges
  • Work with the software provider to design new dashboard reporting to meet the needs of the business
  • Cleansing, importing and exporting of large and sensitive datasets to create insights from data and communicate these effectively to stakeholders
  • Incorporate data analysis into designed ongoing reports and build ad hoc reports as and when required by the business
  • Develop financial models from scratch utilising best practice financial modelling techniques
  • Review financial model using tools in Excel and other tools deployed to assist in financial model reviews
  • Tertiary qualifications, or equivalent demonstrated experience, in an analytical discipline
  • Must have financial modelling experiences
  • Experience in business friendly data analytics Tools or customer experience software is desirable
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret information, data blending, visualisations and ability to synthesis information into an integrated narrative
  • Demonstrated planning, analytical and problem solving skills to identify root causes of problems and develop solutions
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills including stakeholder consultation and management skills to deliver outcomes that align to business needs
  • Strong advance skills in Excel
  • Able to work in a fast paced changing environment
