Reporting into the Financial Controller, in this role you will own the internal executive and external financial reporting, income tax, legal and employee remuneration obligations of the business.
You will manage all company secretary and legal duties including preparing and reviewing loan documents and member agreements, as well as assessing business risk. You will prepare timely and accurate financial reports for the business including monthly executive reports, quarterly board reports and senior leadership reports.
In addition you will provide technical papers and business process changes for all technical issues and accounting standard changes. You will prepare statutory accounts and calculate AASB 16 leases and recognise GL entries. You will also be responsible for all business tax obligations being met including income tax and FBT. You will also prepare the annual tax return and ensure FBT is correctly calculated.
Finally you will be responsible for reviewing and maintaining business insurance, as well as being responsible for the accuracy of all employee related payments. You will ensure all legal employment related obligations are met, as well as provide the annual budget for employee costs.
To be considered for this role you will be CA/CPA qualified with at least 2-3 years experience in a similar role. You will have corporations law knowledge as well as statutory reporting and technical accounting skills. Ideally you will have previous Tax calculation experience including DTA/DTL. You will also be able to identify and deliver improvement in the financial reporting processes.
