Reporting to the Head of Special Projects & Tax, the Financial Systems Manager is responsible for managing the design, delivery, development, utilisation and ongoing support of finance related systems, processes and controls to ensure they meet the current and anticipated needs of the business. The role is also the owner of BAC’s financial systems and the Finance division’s technology road map.
  
Key responsibilities associated with this role include; ensuring financial systems are designed to meet user and business requirements and delivered to scope and budget, and supported in a timely and professional manner.
The role, together with its direct reports, will be responsible for ensuring the day to day financial systems are available and operating as expected (business as usual). Your team will manage finance related systems to ensure that improvement, upgrade and replacement projects are identified; liaising with other internal stakeholders to ensure the efficient delivery of these improvements.
As the Manager of the team, you will set the direction for the team through the development and implementation of initiatives that clearly align to the group business plan.

The successful candidate will have several years of experience in financial system roles with at least three years in a leadership role. You will have relevant tertiary qualifications in a discipline such as Business, Commerce or Accounting. You will naturally be analytical and adept in interpreting financial processes and information, drawing conclusions, making recommendations, and reporting this information to management. It is preferred that you will have a wide and varied background in all aspects of financial administration. Leadership and positive stakeholder engagement are of high importance in this role so you will have exceptional communication skills and be highly effective in creating partnerships (internally and externally). Prior experience in TechOne and TMI, or MRI or similar systems will be highly regarded. You will have advanced skills in the use of typical Microsoft packages (Word, Excel and Outlook). You will also have an advanced level of understanding of financial systems with a focus on their application and integration across multiple programs.
