Job Description

Our client is a well known brand in the Queensland market and one of Brisbane's largest employers, are continuing to grow and diversifying their products and customer base. This complex FMCG business is undergoing a technology transformation and this newly created role will be a key stakeholder on this exciting journey. 

As the Group Technology Manager reporting to the Chief Financial Officer you will own and be responsible for the Technology vertical. You will work with the broader Corporate Services group to develop, manage and implement a Technology strategy for a complex and integrated FMCG business who is a leader in their field. You will implement the technology strategy to drive efficiencies and own the technology roadmap from front to back. Your will be responsible for the optimisation of operations, improved customer engagement and the creation of new business value through enhanced technology systems and processes.

More specifically you will be accountable for the the following; 

• Continually review and set plans to improve the effectiveness of ICT systems, ICT policies, records management system, disaster recovery, risk management and mitigation strategies.
• Assist in driving improved business performance through analysis and maintaining focus on monitoring of service delivery, change management, review and refinement of policy and processes throughout the business, and making recommendations for improvement.
• Coordinating the review, approval and management of software applications across the group
• Actively lead, drive and ensure support to digital transformation projects, including a new ERP initiative and actions to address short to medium term (1-4 years) business needs across the business
• Manage the facilitation of project planning and management of such initiatives, ensuring sponsorship by relevant business leaders, effective input from appropriate technical stakeholders and functional expertise for their delivery.
• Leading the design, development, and delivery of an Technology strategy to ensure operations are supported to deliver on the overall business objectives
• Taking responsibility and accountability for the coordination of projects and tasks, including planning, scheduling and implementation, within allocated budgets and quality controls.
• Building and managing relationships with internal teams to facilitate engagement and understanding of the Technology program framework.
• Maintaining an understanding of new and emerging technologies to drive strategic planning.
• Coordinate training requirements and delivery as the organisation rolls out new solutions.
• Ensuring the business systems and infrastructure is managed under well-defined and secure governance protocols.

The successful candidate will have the following attributes; 

• Several years of experience in a Senior Technology Role with demonstrated success managing and leading teams in a diversified business environment.
• Previously led a successfully completed ERP project, with proven experience as a senior Tech Lead or senior IT management position.
• Postgraduate/tertiary qualifications in a relevant information technology field from a recognised tertiary institution
•Experience in the planning, design, development, and implementation of Technology strategy.
• Efficient data management, budgeting and reporting skills including high level attention to detail, numeracy, and literacy skills.
• Management of security across cloud based and on-premise solutions
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively analyse corporate service and risk issues, apply strategic and innovative thinking to develop options, critically evaluate alternatives and implement integrated and equitable solutions to complex workplace issues/projects.
