The Opportunity:

This Parramatta based law firm provides tailored legal advice to growing SMEs and start-ups, especially those expanding in the retail/hospitality sector. They are looking to hire a junior-mid level HR Consultant to manage all internal Human Resources matters and also provide external HR advice to their clients. With the firm providing a full service offering to their clients this role will provide advice on interpreting awards, managing staff complaints/performance management, IR/ER inquiries and other general HR matters. With a small and growing team who is supportive and tight-knit this firm provides the autonomous opportunity to work closely with staff and clients on the full suite of HR responsibilities including:
  • Recruitment
  • Induction
  • Remuneration & Benefits
  • Performance management
  • ER and policy advice
  • WH&S
  
About you:
  • At least 2 years generalist HR experience
  • Experience in a law firm/professional services is highly desirable
  • Experience providing advice on IR/ER matters is highly desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability and eagerness to build strong relationships with staff and clients
  • Eager to learn and develop your skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong capability and confidence with technology, especially Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work in a small, close knit team, and autonomously
