The Opportunity:

This strong commercial law firm is known in the market for having a friendly and down to earth culture which is focused on collaboration and high performance. The firm is looking for an experienced or ‘up and coming’ HR Manager to join their small and tightknit team and ensure the HR programmes and strategies are aligned to the business and implemented effectively. Reporting to the Head of HR and managing a HR Coordinator this role will be a crucial and challenging role as the firm looks to grow significantly over the next few years
Responsibilities include:
  • Managing the end to end employee lifecycle including, recruitment of legal staff, training, performance management and reward
  • Working with the HR team to evaluate, develop, implement, and embed HR policies and programs
  • Mentoring and developing junior HR staff
  • Working closely with partners and business managers to resolve internal issues/queries/needs
  • Building strong working and strategic relationships with key stakeholders in the business

About you:

  • Teamwork centric with a great sense of humour and a passion to collaborate with a team
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, or Organisation Development
  • Experience in a legal/professional services organisation with a partnership structure is essential
  • Knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation and benefits, organisational planning, recruitment, organisation development, employee relations, work health and safety, employee engagement and employee development
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail w
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability and eagerness to build strong relationships with staff
  • Highly-organised
  • Experience mentoring and developing junior members of staff
  • Resilient, analytical and patient attitude with the ability to influence and conflict manage stakeholders
