The Opportunity:

Work with this well branded and recognised Australian Not for Profit! Our client is a leading provider in disability assistance across NSW and is looking to hire a junior-mid level professional to help develop and implement strategic initiatives related to internal communications, branding, retention, reward and recognition, and D&I, to name a few. Working closely with the Head of Workforce Planning and Capability this role will both own certain projects and work closely with the Head and other key stakeholders to research, design and implement initiatives to help engage and retain staff over the long term. This role combines a broad range of skills/experience including internal communications, organisational development, change management, and HR projects and as a result our client is open to seeing candidates from a broad range of backgrounds that mirror the above experience. Regardless of experience candidates must have strong written and verbal communication skills, analytical thinking, energetic personality, resilience, the ability to consult with senior stakeholders and self-manage your work.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Researching and reporting on industry best practice
  • Consulting with stakeholders and staff to design, develop and implement initiatives
  • Seek input and follow up with staff for feedback on the effectiveness of initiatives alongside monitoring the implementation and engagement of the initiatives
  • Create strong relationships with stakeholders to support the implementation of initiatives
  • Manage all associated administration with the projects of the team
  • Work closely with the internal HR and Marketing/Comms teams to develop collateral and staff guides/handbooks
  • Manage and oversee the intranet and social media pages in partnership with the Marketing/Comms team
  • Prepare content for and present workshops to engage and educate staff
 
About you:
  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in an internal communications/organisational development/change management role
  • Experience in the Healthcare/Community Services sector would be desirable
  • Experience working on organisational development/HR project initiatives is desirable
  • Relevant tertiary qualification. Arts Degree candidates will definitely be considered
  • Advanced analytical and planning ability with experience working in a project capacity
  • Self-motivated and highly organised
  • Experience consulting with senior level stakeholders
  • Experience designing presentations and training
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability and eagerness to build strong relationships with staff
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong capability and confidence with technology, especially Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work in a small, close knit team, and autonomously
