Job Description

The Organisation 
Our client is a marketing leading professional services firm know for their prestigious legal offering and innovative, diver and inclusive environment. They have a permanent opportunity for an experinced recruiter to join the team on a full time basis to lead their Graduate Programs in the Brisbane office. 

The Role
You will work as part of a national team responsible for the continuous improvement and delivery of the graduate and clerkship intakes. This role works directly with the HR Manager in Brisbane, while also supporting a number of senior partners across the firm.

This is a great role for someone with prior graduate recruitment experience or someone with professional services recruitment background who has an interest in further developing their career in a diverse role providing strong exposure to broader HR duties. 

Your duties will include;

Resourcing
  • Develop process plan for annual seasonal clerk and graduate programs.
  • Screening of applications and utilisation of psychometric assessments.
  • Manage interview, post-interview consideration and offer process.
  • Build strong relationships with staff partners responsible for clerk / graduate programs.
  • Apply Queensland law society regulations as applicable to recruitment.
  • Coordinate the offers and on-boarding of all clerks and graduates on our programs.
Seasonal clerkships
  • Facilitate smooth running of seasonal clerkships to ensure market leading experience in Brisbane, including induction, program events and activities, and the clerkship assessment process.
  • Plan and execute a sponsorship program for target universities in Queensland.
  • Manage relationships with university contacts to ensure excellent, accurate and consistent coverage of the organisations brand.
  • Coordinate events and design materials which reflect our key employer brand messages.
  • Attend and deliver events on campus and in-house including career fairs and campus information/training sessions.
  • Facilitate clerkships including induction, events and the clerkship appraisal process.
  • Facilitate decision making process for graduate offers at the end of the clerkships.
Graduate program
  • Conduct induction program for new starters and manage appraisal process.
  • Liaise with key partners to coordinate the rotations and settlement of graduates.
  • Respond to and deal with graduate enquiries and provide information and advice in accordance with firm policy and procedures
  • Coordinate the appraisal process
  • Meet with partners to discuss the graduate program and performance of individual graduates.
  • Work with L&D to identify training needs and delivery of training programs.
About You
  • Previous experience in graduate recruitment is highly regarded but not essential 
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to manage difficult conversations.
  • Organised, conscientious, with strong attention to detail.
  • Personable and approachable style with an ability to communicate well at all levels.
  • Works well within a team and works autonomously when needed.
  • Hard working, using initiative to manage own workload, especially at busy times.
  • Proactive, with a 'can do' attitude.
