The Opportunity:

Our client is a leading global childcare business who is looking to quadruple their footprint in Australia over the next few years. In preparation for this exciting stage of growth they are looking to hire an experienced childcare recruiter to join the team based in their Inner West office to assist in hiring educators and managers for their existing and upcoming centres. This is a key role in the business and will partner closely with stakeholders to ensure best recruitment practice is adopted across the business and strategic talent initiatives are developed including direct recruitment, talent pooling, accurate reporting, and candidate management. Because of the amount of growth planned it is preferential that the right candidate has experience working in the childcare/education industry and has a proactive and adaptable approach. Both junior and experienced candidates will be considered for the role which will report to either the Talent Acquisition Manager of Head of HR depending on the level of candidate.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Managing processes end-to-end
  • Proactively headhunting candidates and building market maps
  • Working with Managers to forecast future requirements and developing sourcing strategies accordingly
  • Managing the online and internal recruitment systems to ensure excellent stakeholder and candidate experience
  • Working with the internal team to develop and maximise reporting

About you:
  • At least 3 years' recruitment/talent acquisition experience in a fast paced environment
  • Experience working in the Childcare/Education sector is preferred
  • Extensive experience with end to end talent acquisition processes focused on best practice, efficiency and ensuring the best candidate and employee experience
  • Experience in headhunting passive candidates, talent pooling and developing market maps
  • Understanding of local/regional recruitment practices and relevant employment law and visa processes
  • Comfortable working autonomously and in a small team
  • Self-motivated and highly organised
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability and eagerness to build strong relationships with staff and candidates
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
