Our client is an ASX-listed Media company, seeking a switched on Management Accountant for a newly created role. The business has continued to do remarkably well despite Covid-19, and are in a strong position to warrant added headcount. The business is also recruiting numerous other newly created positions, testament to the strong position they're in. The role sits within a small but growing finance team of 7, and offers great hands-on development for the successful candidate.
The Role
Reporting to the Financial Manager, the Management Accountant will be responsible for -
- Financial analysis of clients and jobs including profitability
- Ownership of client portfolio - from budget management to invoicing
- Accurate customer P&L forecasting
- Overheads and expense analysis and reporting
- Support, mentor and provide financial and analytical guidance to the account management team and other finance team members
- Driving efficient month end and year end reporting
- Provide business metrics and analysis to enable sound business decision making
- Develop and maintain appropriate financial reports, policies and procedures including process analysis for improvements and reporting innovation
- Finance system improvement and continually improving analytical tools
- Risk management - regular review of existing systems, procedures and processes
- Continually assess business processes for cost optimisation and revenue maximisation
About you

This role would suit someone who:
- CPA/CA qualified or near to completion (study leave provided)
- Circa 2 years experience in a similar role
- Is an exceptional communicator and has a natural flair in influencing stakeholders at all levels with strong interpersonal skills
