As the Network Engineer, you will ensure the successful uptime, optimisation and functioning of all network-related infrastructure, inclusive of site networks, corporate networks, connectivity to the cloud and data centres. Th

This role has a clear focus on supporting partners for the build and components of the operating function. The role functions as a lead in the infrastructure work unit and will be responsible for training, instruction, setting the work pace, and may also be responsible for evaluating the performance of others.

Knowledge and Skills

Ten or more years of IT experience
Demonstrated experience with network, wifi, telecommunications and network-related security
Bachelor degree with a technical major in engineering, computer science or similar
Systems Administration/System Engineer certification in Unix and Microsoft

Key Responsibilities

Deliver robust, resilient, scalable network architecture solutions that are highly efficient with resilient design
Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, and engage partners where required
Monitor network usage and introduce alerting
Implement suitable monitoring tools to provide insightful data on the network state, especially station network consumption, and be able to implement traffic rules to ensure the quality of service and usability
Maintaining high availability of network and communications infrastructure (including telephony systems)
Providing thought leadership on network security including working closely with security agencies to maintain the security posture
Strong technical change management discipline
Maintain the core infrastructure including switches, firewall at the onsite and offsite data centers
Maintaining relationships with multiple technical service providers and drive partner focus of continuous improvement leveraging data and facts
Document key network risks and raise visibility with team and management and ensuring risk mitigation and controls are documented and tested
Provide Tier III and other support on request from stakeholders, investigating and troubleshooting issues


Apply operating system patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities
Configure and add new services as necessary
Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures
Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.
Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimisation as required.
Maintain data centre environmental and monitoring equipment
