Luxury retail brand are looking for an experienced HR professional to provide accurate, relevant and up to date advice and support to managers in relation to all areas of Human Resources, while maintaining strict confidentiality at all times. Maintaining a customer centric approach and demonstrating the brand values in supporting the business goals, team and culture is paramount to this role. 

The Role: 
  • Communicate on a regular basis with managers and team members to build rapport, gauge morale and provide ongoing support on all employee matters
  • Give accurate HR advice, handle grievances and conduct disciplinary measures including writing warnings and meetings where necessary
  • Initiate and implement HR strategies and drive major projects
  • Revise policies and procedures, position descriptions and local initiatives to ensure up to date and accurate information at all times
  • Work in close partnership with the leadership team, managers and various stakeholders of the business to constantly drive engagement, retention and overall culture throughout the company
  • Manage corporate recruitment process and prepare corporate contracts up to Director level
  • Assist managers with updating Position Descriptions
  • Support Payroll manager with the reporting and analysing new hire and leaver trends
  • Oversee WHS in our Head Office and Warehouse locations
  • Accountable for the overall effective operations of the People & Culture team, managing 2 direct reports
The Candidate: 
  • 3+ years related HR experience within retail company
  • Good understanding of WHS
  • Cert IV in Human Resources Management/Bachelor’s Degree or similar
  • Good understanding of the General Retail Award
  • Strong admin skills and all related computer application skills eg. Excel, Word and Powerpoint
  • Clear and effective Communication skills – confident presenting information to others
  • Strong leadership skills, always leading by example and showing mentorship to teams
  • Looks for and suggest ways to improve HR processes to deliver more effective performance
