Job Description

This Australian company is well established and experiencing a period of expansion. This Senior Payroll & HR Officer role reports into the GM, HR and is solely responsible for the payroll function for around 160 staff.

This will include oversight of the outsourced payroll processing (ADP), as well as management of all other in-house payroll responsibilities. These will include salary-related admin (ie super, novated leases etc), compliance, payroll accounting, reporting, systems matters and handling of payroll-related queries.

You will also be the subject matter expert on any changes in payroll legislation, as well as any payroll-related process improvement or projects. Including involvement in a forthcoming selection and implementation of a new HRIS.

Additionally you will be responsible for HR data analytics & reporting and HR admin, such as employments contracts etc. As well as some ad hoc finance duties, such as bank recs and payroll journal entries. 

You are an experienced payroll professional, with several years' experience in Australian payroll, ideally in a stand-alone role, and with excellent communication & Excel skills.
