The Payroll Manager is responsible for managing the Payroll of the whole group. This is a national role and entails a high level of engagement directly with major stakeholders including the Group Financial Controller, People Team and the Group Finance function.
You will have full responsibility for preparation and processing of the monthly payroll for approximately 570 employees and offcycle payroll using Frontier Chris 21 software.
You will provide monthly reporting and reconciliations including superannuation, PAYG, payroll tax, workers compensation etc.
In addition you will have management of payroll processes, procedures and systems including new employees, termination, and redundancy calculations. You will also be required to manage the relationship with the external Payroll Bureau provider.
Finally you will be required to prepare and reconcile monthly payroll journals, as well as provide monthly KPI and performance reporting with respect to the payroll function.
To be considered for this role you will have over 5 years experience in a similar role managing a stand alone full function payroll service. You will have demonstrated knowledge of superannuation, payroll taxation legislation and other payroll processes. Previous experience working with Chris 21 payroll software will be highly regarded.
