An urgent opportunity has arisen with a well known healthcare provider for an experienced Payroll Manager to join the business. There is a potential for this role to extend or go permanent.
You will be required to manage and process end to end fortnightly payroll including salaries, backpays, benefits, deductions and taxes. You will oversee all payroll changes and manage the preparation and submission of all tax obligations.
In addition you will interpret new legislation impacting payroll and ensure appropriate changes are made. You will also calculate and submit workers compensation and ensure payments are received.
Finally you will be required to respond to Payroll queries and resolve issues as required. You will also be required to prepare, balance and reconcile fortnightly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports as required.
To be considered for this role you will have at least 3+ years experience working in a similar stand alone role. You will have demonstrated understanding of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal controls and Payroll taxes. You will have a comprehensive understanding of modern awards. You will also be familiar with HRIS and time tracking software .
