You will be responsible for ensuring that all payroll activities are processed accurately while ensuring that the business meets relevant legislative regulations. Working with the wider HR team, the Payroll Officer will be a subject matter expert in all aspects of processing payroll. The role will also be responsible for ensuring all policies, processes and procedures relating to payroll are reviewed and maintained regularly.
Further functions of the role include providing support and information on current payroll concerns to HR, the Finance Department and Operating Officers relating to all facets of the payroll production, in a timely and professional manner. This role will manage and support to payroll as well as payroll projects and other shared services and financial control activities and process improvements.
To be successful in this role, you’ll be positive contributor to the Finance team and passionate in your role as an educator and influencer with a desire to understand the “why”. You will have strong full function payroll and have a good understanding of FBT and payroll tax.
You will be capable to work in a fast-pace organisation, have a strong attention to detail, and exceptional interpersonal skills.
