Job Description

This newly created role with a highly respected health care organisation is now open for a Procurement Category Specialist to join their team. The role offers a great working culture and work/life balance. The position is focused on managing the company's supply categories and assist with procurement strategies. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Category management of allocated categories within the company structure
  • Development and maintenance of procurement strategies to reduce cost
  • Financial analysis of the impact of procurement strategies 
  • Assisting with budgeting and forecasting for the procurement department
  • Ensuring business controls and mitigating risks in relation to supplier performance
  • Execute procurement plans to deliver the best value
  • Ad hoc projects
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Degree qualified in business, commerce / finance, procurement, or a related discipline
  • 3-5 years of experience within procurement and category management
  • Exposure to the health care or aged care industry is highly regarded
  • Great attitude and willingness to learn
  • Project management experience is essential
