Job Description

A global business who are going through aggressive growth due to repetitive client wins is looking for a project manager to take the lead of transitioning multiple fund portfolios and driving operational best practice across fund operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with experience in this area and who are looking to be part of a dynamic and high energy team and who is able to work in a fast-paced, highly demanding environment.

You will be responsible for the planning, coordination, implementation and reporting process required to successfully restructure multiple portfolios to minimise the costs and market risks associated with the restructuring and provide a smooth and orderly transition. Heavily involved with interacting with various stakeholders this is a client facing role and your communication style and ability to work in a fast paced, high energy environment which requires flexibility around ever-changing demands are essential.

You will be implementing transitions and taking care of client relationships, looking into launching funds, restructures and transformation duties.

Duties include:
  • Preparing project plans for large-scale transitions
  • Taking ownership of the portfolio in its entirety
  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of the onboarding process including migrating risks
  • Providing exceptional customer service
  • Lead, or participate in, client meetings & calls
  • Project planning, management, and control.
  • Direct and indirect management of project resources as required.
  • Managing project risks, issues, interdependencies and quality; and acting as an escalation point for workstream issues.
  • Managing all changes to requirements through a formally defined scope change process.
  • Measuring and monitoring progress at clearly defined points in the process to ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget.
  • Ensuring that all requirements, project plans, and changes to commitment are communicated to all affected team members and stakeholders.
  • Technical Understanding and oversight – utilizing IT financial services, funds management, custody or back-office administration industry experience and working closely with stakeholders to ensure an in-depth understanding of the current operating model, processes, end to end operations and IT flow with a focus on operational efficiency.
  • Undertaking quality reviews of project deliverables to ensure they meet business needs and requirements and adhere to the methodology, standards, and strategy.
  • Preparation of Steering Committee papers and reporting to the local management team and other relevant business and client forums.
  • Ensuring the project team complies with relevant project management methodologies, audit, security and compliance requirements.
