Job Description

Reporting to General Manager, your role will be to ensure the internal compliance with relevant systems and legislative requirements through the coordination, development, implementation and maintenance of:
  • An integrated Quality Management System including the implementation of State, Federal and NDIS standards across the organisation
  • Health and Safety, Compliance Management and Risk Management Frameworks
  • Develop, implement and maintain Quality Plans and Improvement Plans in consultation with appropriate staff, addressing accreditation requirements and risk and compliance obligations
  • Develop accessible and comprehensive suite of policies and procedures.
  • Plan and coordinate the internal auditing schedule for the Quality Management System.
  • Develop a systemic process to inform and involve all staff in the continuous review and evaluation of the organisation’s performance against quality standards.
  • Manage the process for external audits including preparation of information for audit and liaising with external audit organisation.
  • Foster the development of a compliant culture to ensure obligations and opportunities are proactively identified, assessed, controlled and minimised across the organisation in line with the Compliance Framework and the Compliance Register.
  • Through consultation with relevant stakeholders identify new and emerging obligations, assess in terms of risk exposure and risk management, and proactively respond.
  • Responsibility as the Health and Safety Coordinator for the business and assist management to fulfil their Health and Safety reporting obligations to plan and establish effective systems for the management of hazards and risks.
Essential Experience and Skills:

  • Qualification in Quality Management and/or Risk Management and /or proven experience with a minimum of two years working in a similar organisation with responsibility for coordinating the statutory and regulatory framework.
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating a quality management system and conducting internal or external quality audits, particularly in the disability sector.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in coordinating a compliance program, OH&S and risk management program.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant Disability Standards (State and Commonwealth, Disability Act 2006, Victorian Charter of Human Rights, Occupational Health and Safety Legislation, Risk Management Framework and other statutory requirements, including NDIS and NDIA.
