Job Description

Global TOP ASX Listed Australian Organisation is looking for an experienced Release Co-ordinator with considerable expertise within IT. You will report directly into the Cyber Detection/Response Manager and have responsibility for the effective management of cybersecurity vulnerability risk management across the global business. In this role, you will coordinate an agreed schedule for performing vulnerability assessment activities, engaging resources for what activity and duration. Successful candidates should have a broad range of expertise across cybersecurity. We are looking for a dynamic and motivated candidate with strong experience in IT release and or vulnerability risk management.

What you will be responsible for;
  • Co-ordinate security-related configuration and software updates for business applications and infrastructure
  • Develop a Release Management Strategy, schedule and Cadence
  • Develop a Release Plan for multiple Agile Increments
  • Lead Release Planning Reviews (Planning Increment Reviews) 
  • Oversee releases into production, including go/no go decision forums, pilots and final releases  
  • Co-ordinate prioritised activities and streamline remediation efforts with an effective release schedule
  • Track vulnerability remediation requests according to Business risk
  • Proactively manage and mitigate risks for release and impacted change increments 
  • Liaise with BAU teams to schedule security releases and actionable tasks to mitigate real risk to the business
  • Assist the vulnerability managed service in the Remediation Process by raising service now tickets to defined application owners
  • Manage and track ServiceNow requests
  • Provide visibility of patch status and risks to the businesses associated with all of their digital assets from a managed service.
  • Work with a managed service to provide recommendations and guidance for best security practice to reduce and minimise risk.
  • Provide reports from the managed service, digest them, triage vulnerabilities and understand the remediation activities required.
  • Manage stakeholder communication
  • Present managed service summary reports detailing issues/findings and recommendations for each vulnerability scan performed.
  • Escalate findings from a managed service for vulnerabilities that have not been patched for most critical Assets
  • Assist in deploying tactical/critical patches
  • Adding vulnerabilities to cybersecurity risk register when and if required
  • Generate reports from VRM tool that articulate vulnerability security risk posture to be shared with key stakeholders.
  • Ensuring that the appropriate governance is in place to provide successful delivery of all IT Changes
  • Responsible for liaising with our technology partners to deliver a coordinated change and release function.
  • Ensuring the successful delivery of changes and releases to all IT Services
  • Attend CAB meetings with internal and external representation.
  • Be available to manage situations in the event escalation is required following IT releases
  • Provide the relevant management information relating to all changes and releases
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Experience within IT software and Infrastructure
  • Understanding of the current threat landscape, response, and mitigation strategies used in cybersecurity.
  • Understanding of business needs and commitment to delivering high-quality, prompt, and efficient service to the business.
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of IT Software and infrastructure
  • Strong project and time management skills.
  • Continuous vigilance and constant action is required
  • Reporting on potential or actual security breaches
  • The ability to adapt and operate in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Sound knowledge of systems development lifecycle
  • Knowledge of multiple deployments and testing methodologies
  • Ability to work in shared hybrid release environments; internal and vendor development
  • Good attention to detail, tracking and reporting skills
  • Good stakeholder management 
  • Experience in Operations & Release Management
  • Experience in managing application services, releases within a multi-business stream environment including managed service offerings.
  • Demonstrated experience in cybersecurity 
Qualifications
One or more of the following certifications is preferred:
  • 5+ years of significant experience in enterprise-level deployments
  • Tertiary qualification in IT, Business or similar
  • Good understanding of governance framework and process
  • Familiar and confident around ITIL processes
  • Sound knowledge of systems development lifecycle
  • Knowledge of multiple deployments and testing methodologies
