Job Description
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Actively looking for opportunities to improve, automate and standardise Reporting and deliverable production capabilities.
- Designing, developing, documenting and executing process workflows, mapping current data and utilising existing systems.
- Meeting service delivery, efficiency and control objectives by continually enhancing the delivery of client obligations and service across all asset classes
- Working with the Client Delivery team and other key internal stakeholders to automate Client Reporting production solutions to reduce manual or inefficient processes.
- Sourcing, cleansing, investigating, reconciling and auditing client reporting data.
- Contributing towards an environment of process excellence through documentation, planning and execution of Client Reporting processes including audit and disaster recovery.
- Reviewing and evaluating potential improvement processes and automation in terms of time, resources and benefits of having more robust and automated Client Reporting processes.
- Assisting and as required leading the detailing of process maps (current state and future state) and process design for Client Reporting functions across the business.
- Applying a client-led approach to business requirements to drive the design or review of Client Reports.
- Working closely with business units and subject matter experts in the testing, training, implementation and overall operational readiness of the functional requirements for Client Reporting structure.
- Understanding data sources to map the data architecture for Client Reporting needs by engaging with key stakeholders across the business.
- Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with all internal stakeholders through a proactive and professional approach to interactions.
- 3+ years of previous experience in a Software Applications Development role.
- Sophisticated code or report building skills including complex database environments, SQL, Power BI and VBA with an emphasis on quality and scalable reporting solutions.
- Demonstrated knowledge of current trends in Client Reporting technology and how these may be applied to the business.
- Demonstrated experience of implementing the project and data design through to building, testing & implementation in consultation with key stakeholders.
- Ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of business processes and Client Reporting requirements through information gathering translating research into technical specifications.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the confidence to actively pursue and develop relationships with business units including IT and Investment Operations.
- Ability to work with other business units and staff to deliver highly effective, scalable and where possible automated reporting system solutions.
- Ability to evolve skills and capability, working collaboratively within a team to meet changing demands and priorities.
- Bachelor level degree from a recognised tertiary institution in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent relevant experience.
- Strong problem-solving ability, analytical and high attention to detail.
- A detailed understanding and experience in the processes and systems used for Reporting in the Asset and Funds Management industry.
- Previous applied experience in working with data including performance, attribution and other portfolio analytics.
- Experience with VRS and the Eagle (Oracle-based).
