My client is one of Australia's largest conglomerates which houses brands which are synonymous with our proud history and which service some of it's most crucial industries.
This role sits in their centralised group function, forming part of a high performing and established yet progressive risk function. This newly created role offers the opportunity to join them in an exciting phase in their journey to further challenge the status quo and how they view risk management frameworks, accountability and reporting.
Reporting to the GM of Risk & Assurance, the Risk Manager's key responsibilities include:
• Supporting Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) process across divisions.
• Ensuring ERM is aligned to best practice and emerging industry trends.
• Partnering with divisions on ERM, inc prevention, and promoting knowledge sharing
• Leveraging data and digital capabilities
• Work with other Corporate Office functions to ensure appropriate reporting
My client is seeking a high performing individual and experienced Risk Manager who has demonstrated practical ability in planning and implementing Enterprise Risk Management processes. Not just a program manager.
Importantly, you will be able to show clear material benefits of your work and articulate how it has improved a business/brand. We are looking for an individual with demonstrable substance and someone who is passionate about their field. Your experience will have been gained working within a large and complex organisation with significant experience dealing with business leadership.
You will have first class influencing skills with the ability to communicate and gain buy-in from stakeholders at all levels inc group board & leadership as well as division leadership (MD's & CFO's) as well as key functional staff. Additionally, you will be analytical sound and ideally have previous experience using technology and data to preempt and predict risks.
The successful applicant will hold relevant degree qualifications and ideally be CA/CPA qualified (not essential).
