The Opportunity:

Work with this well branded and recognised Australian Not for Profit! Our client is a leading provider in disability assistance across NSW and is looking for a scheduling coordinator to join their team based in Western Sydney. Working in a small and supportive team this role will be responsible for helping recruit, engage and schedule the 200+ casual workforce of disability support workers. With a rotating shift roster the team works closely with the support Managers across NSW to ensure any open shifts are covered by a casual support worker along with assisting in the recruitment and onboarding of new casual support workers. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Developing relationships with various support Managers in order to under the current and future requirements of the business
  • Coordinating with casual workers across NSW to fill vacant shifts
  • Identifying any gaps in operational processes and suggest improvements
  • Working closely with the team to understand requirements and share the workloads
  • Maintaining accurate information with the scheduling system to ensure accurate reports can be run
  • Assisting in recruitment of support workers including phone screening, interviewing and onboarding

About you:
  • Experience in a rostering/scheduling role is desirable
  • Available to work a rotating roster with a monthly Saturday shift
  • Proactive approach with no fear in picking up the phone and speaking to someone
  • Confident approach with the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders and staff
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment with an understanding of working with urgency
  • Ability to prioritise high volumes of work
  • Team player with collaborative approach and clear communication about your workload
  • Self-motivated and highly organised
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability and eagerness to build strong relationships with staff
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong capability and confidence with technology, especially Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work in a small, close knit team, and autonomously
