Job Description

We are currently looking for a Senior Business Analyst who is able to understand & articulate business problems and ideas, work collaboratively to shape the desired outcomes in Technology terms and drive a technology delivery that achieves this vision and enables the business. 

In conjunction with the Program Director, Senior Project Manager, or Project Manager, you will:
  • Identify & actively engage with key stakeholders to understand the problem to be solved, articulate the business needs and desired outcomes, then translate these into technology outcomes.
  • Assist in defining the vision and scope of assigned projects in alignment with project timelines and budgets.
  • Review information, identify trends, problems and opportunities and compile for decision-makers.
  • Actively collaborate, making appropriate recommendations to develop solutions that deliver better business results and make it easier to do business.
  • Engage stakeholders to define, agree & model the business view of a solution. I.e. As-Is / To-Be business processes, “What if” scenarios, NPV/ROI, Cause & effect diagrams etc.
  • Perform gap analysis & impact assessments.
Stakeholder Management
  • Maintain functional relationships with stakeholders in order to gather information and understand stakeholder interest.
  • Maintain an up to date understanding of the various business units and their operations.
  • Effectively manage stakeholder expectations in line with deliverable outcomes.
  • Ensure affected stakeholders have a complete and common understanding of the implications of any system changes / new features.

  • Take on fresh points of view, prepared to investigate & challenge the unknown.
  • Think things through in advance, consider assumptions, constraints & dependencies.
  • Effectively plan & deliver assignments/initiatives within agreed constraints (time, resources etc).
  • Effectively contribute in meetings and use technology to the best advantage.
  • Identify, handle and resolve conflict effectively.
  • “Sell” new projects, ideas or strategies.

Knowledge, Qualifications, Languages, Skills & Attributes
  • Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in commerce or technology or accreditation in Business Analysis.
  • Certifications: SDLC knowledge, Business case development.
  • Experience: > 7 years experience in IT, with more than 5 years of experience in a BA role and 3 years experience in a business environment.
  • Business Case, financial and cost-modeling development.
