This newly created role of a Senior Financial Analyst will sit in Finance Business Solutions. Reporting to the Director Finance Strategy, Budgeting and Business Modelling for supervision, workload management and for Performance Planning and Review.
This small team will be supporting the development of University strategies that foster financial sustainability and encompass cost optimisation, student load planning, decision support modelling and new and existing business opportunities.
The Senior Financial Analyst position will undertake a range of activities including development of financial models to support business case development and decision support for new and existing business opportunities.
This may include leveraging off available statistical data on student load scenarios and forecasts along with business costing data sets available within this team to support cross functional projects that support the realisation of QUT’s strategic objectives.
The role also supports the development and ongoing management of QUT’s course costing framework and models.
To be successful in this role you will have an undergraduate degree in finance, accounting or reliable degree. You will have recent relevant commercial experience in a similar role, from a large complex business, and have demonstrated high level experienced in building financial models to support business case and decision support assessments. This would include a high capability in both quantitative and qualitative data analysis, the interpretation of data and reporting. It is expected that you will demonstrate a high level interpersonal written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare high quality management reports, together with a proven ability to undertake professional representation to committees and a wide range of stakeholders.
