The company / opportunity

My client is a house-hold name and long established leader in the industry. They have diversified holdings and are dual listed on NYSE and ASX.

Reporting into the Group FC your role will be key to external reporting (stat and ASX etc.), executing of periodic schedules and to act as a business partner to finance leadership on the provision of technical accounting advice.
 
You will be hands on and the position requires someone with a sound technical accounting skill set, experience with consolidated financial reporting, US GAAP and/or IFRS experience.

Duties inc:
  • Preparation of bi-yearly statutory reports and notes inc ASX requirements
  • Provision of technical accounting advice to divisional finance teams
  • Liaise with other contributors to the external reporting process, 
  • Assist CFO and Group FC in preparation of corporate schedules to enable analysis of results.
About you (WHAT YOU POSSESS)

Ideally, you will be a technically accomplished CA seeking your 1st or 2nd (preferred) move from chartered.

Regardless, you will have excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels (particularly given this role deals with senior leadership).

Additionally, you be able to speak well through examples of technical accounting and consolidation experience from large, complex businesses. With exposure to ASX environments.
