The role is based in North Ryde and would be working closely with senior management and a very personable, grounded and hardworking HR team.

The Role:

Reporting to the HR Director, you will be the lead for Employee Relations across the business:

  • Providing advice and consultation on legislative changes and ensuring the business is compliant to minimise risk
  • Manage the partnership with the ER outsourcing provider to ensure the business is fully supported and the service provision maximised to the benefit of the company
  • Report on ER activity and opportunities to the relevant internal parties and related compliance obligations to Corporate (Code of Conduct auditing)
  • Translate insights from the ER outsourcing provider to actions for improvement within the organisation, aiming to improve employee satisfaction and reduce attrition rates
  • Mediate in disputes and grievances related to field operations or as required, and provide ER expert advice and support to other HR leads and act as the escalation point to our legal partners (internal and external)
  • Directly facilitate or guide effective performance management processes across the business unit in a timely manner
  • Manage any Industrial Relations matters related to the business
You will also partner with a core business unit and work closely with the General Manager to oversee all HR functions including:
  • Talent Acquisition & Development, Training, Change management, Project management, Remuneration and Benefits, Workforce planning, WHS, Communications, Audit & Compliance, etc.
The Candidate:
  • 7+ years in a HR / ER related role
  • HR Management experience in a Retail business
  • Strong HR knowledge with strong ER consulting experience
  • Demonstrate project management capability
  • Solid business partnering with proven
  • Strong stakeholder and influencing skills
  • A passion and expertise for ER
  • Excellent communication skills, strong relationship builder, strong coaching and leadership skills
