Job Description
This well-respected mid-tier law firm is looking for an experienced legal secretary to support their Dispute Resolution/Litigation team. You will support two partners and 2 senior associates and the team across the full remit of legal secretarial duties, including dictation. With the partners managing a very busy practice you will need to take charge, prioritise confidently and communicate clearly to help them manage their matters and time. Experience working in a fast-paced litigation practice is desirable with sound knowledge of court processes and documentation.
The Role:
- Document and correspondence preparation
- Digital dictation
- Editing documents
- Collating briefs to counsel
- Paper and electronic file management
- Diary management
- Monthly billing and entering time
- General administration
- At least 2 years’ legal secretarial experience in a fast-paced role
- Experience in a Disputes/Litigation team is desirable
- Ability to adapt to different working styles and stakeholders
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability and eagerness to build strong relationships with staff
- Experience with dictation
- Experience and confidence managing partner relationships
- Ability to work autonomously and delegate work to juniors
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong capability and confidence with technology, especially Microsoft Office
