The Role
The Settlements Manager is required to perform a management and leadership role with the Settlements team within the operations group.
Reporting directly to the Head of Local Custody and Clearing, the role is fundamentally responsible for current and future delivery of Local Custody Settlements and banking services to all clients who invest in financial products.
These services include daily, periodic and ad-hoc client instructions, application and monitoring of risk control frameworks and delivery of required client and management information reporting.
The role is intended to provide day-to-day management and leadership to the Local Custody and Clearing Settlements team, through support and mentoring of the Settlement team.
The Local Custody and Clearing Settlements team is responsible for the development of strong relationships with key client representatives, external counterparties, auditors and industry work groups/representatives, together with cohesive working relationships with all internal departments.
The Requirements
8 years+ experience within the financial services industry
Proven track record within Corporate actions and settlements functions desirable
Proven change management capability
Ability to demonstrate strong people leadership and management capability
Ability to promote innovation and motivate staff to actively contribute to new ideas
Ability to foster and maintain strong interpersonal relationships both internally and externally
