You will be responsible for payroll system administration, maintenance, configuration and general support of the payroll systems. This will involve trend reporting, analysis and metrics to ensure continuous improvement and maximum system utilization. You will interact with the payroll team day to day on payroll applications and collaborate with stakeholders across the business to deliver business outcomes.
In addition you will provide support in the development and analysis of payroll data using system functionality, spreadsheets and other databases where appropriate. You will create testing scenarios to ensure all aspects of payroll processes are covered, and will be required to upskill the payroll team in any system changes and enhancements. You will also drive continuous improvement through trend reporting analysis and metrics.
Finally you will perform regular audits to ensure the availability of complete and accurate system data and reports. You will ensure system processes are operating according to established schedules and procedures. In addition you will maintain reports that track open issues which affect payroll processing accuracy.
To be considered for this role you will have 3-5 years experience in a payroll system/systems analyst role, ideally from a large payroll environment (1000 or more employees), in both a salaried and award environment. You will have previous experience working with a large ERP like Oracle or SAP. In addition you will have the ability to analyse complex payroll situations and make recommendations.
