Job Description

Prestigious Banking Organisation is looking for a Test Manager working in the Information Technology Division. As the Test Manager, you will ensure that all changes are deployed to meet business and client expectations and that the Service Delivery team is able to support these changes in the production environment.

You will be;
  • Defining, executing, monitoring and ongoing improvement of the local test strategy
  • Ensuring alignment of global tools and processes
  • Ensuring compliance with local BTO methodology
  • Management of testing resources
  • Development and maintenance of any relevant test processes (for example FSAT)
You will be working within a matrix structure, having responsibility for the management, development and the delivery of testing capability into projects that are managed across all platforms.
 
Responsibilities;
  • Test Strategy, Test Plan, Test Completion reports, Risk analysis
  • Leading – carrying out the test plan in order to achieve each project’s objectives. Activities include: Setting team direction, Providing technical leadership/training
  • Coordinating activities across different organisational functions
  • Motivating test team members
  • Assigning work via the resource plan
  • Ensuring adherence to the policies and procedures to support the achievement of project and department objectives
  • Controlling – keep projects on track by Measuring, Evaluating, Correcting and achieving the above by defining baselines, tracking test progress, test status reporting, determining and taking corrective actions.
  • Stakeholder Management: Working with project managers and project team (developers, testers, service delivery, etc.), Business partnering, Working with client and vendors
  • Quality Management:
  • Ensure appropriate corporate tools are used for change requests, support and incident tracking
  • Quality centre to be used for all major projects and critical applications
  • Meet the requirements of audits, by ensuring compliance with the project methodology
  • Provides concise direction and objectives for the team members and evaluates their performance on a periodic basis;
  • Leads by example, develops team spirit, shares information;
  • Performance reviews and career plans for team members;
  • Trains and motivates team members to achieve their career goals;
  • Promotes initiative and innovation;
  • Facilitates training, where required,  on tools, processes and procedures;
  • Implements and enforces new processes and procedures;
  • Reviews, updates and enforces existing processes and procedures;
  • Escalation point for Test related issues;
Experience and Qualifications to be successful
  • 3 yrs + Experience in leading/managing a team
  • 5 yrs + Experience in Testing
  • 5 yrs + Relevant IT or Financial services experience
  • Experience working with an offshore team;
  • Experience in Customer (internal/external) facing roles
  • Understanding of ITIL principles
  • Strong appreciation of production responsibilities within an international financial institution
  • Experience with financial institutions;
  • Knowledge of custodian and/or funds management administration
  • Tertiary qualification in IT.
