A nationally operating organisation with a growing footprint is expanding its finance function and looking to add an Accountant to its Brisbane-based team. The business operates across multiple entities and jurisdictions and places strong importance on accurate reporting, accountability and collaboration across teams.

The Role
Reporting to a senior member of the finance team, the Accountant will take responsibility for management accounting and reporting across a portfolio of entities. The role is hands-on and deadline-driven, with exposure to reporting, budgeting, compliance and stakeholder engagement.
You’ll work closely with non-finance teams, providing clarity around financial performance while also contributing to improvements in systems, processes and controls.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing monthly management accounts, including P&L and balance sheet analysis
- Completing reconciliations, accruals, journals and cashflow reporting
- Supporting quarterly and annual reporting requirements for internal and external stakeholders
- Assisting with budget preparation, forecasting and performance reviews
- Managing GST, inter-entity transactions and supporting statutory obligations
- Reviewing expense claims and corporate credit card transactions
- Supporting audit processes and responding to information requests
- Working with stakeholders to provide financial insights and resolve queries
- Identifying opportunities to improve reporting quality and finance processes
About You
You’re an Accountant who enjoys variety and ownership, and who is comfortable working across multiple entities in a structured environment. You take pride in accuracy, enjoy understanding how the numbers connect to the broader business, and communicate confidently with stakeholders.
You’ll bring:
- A degree in Accounting or Finance
- CA or CPA qualification (or actively working towards)
- Experience in management or financial accounting within a commercial environment
- Strong Excel capability and confidence working with finance systems
- A detail-oriented mindset and ability to manage competing deadlines
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative working style
- A proactive approach to improving processes and controls
