A Brisbane-based organisation is seeking an Accountant to join its established finance team.
Operating within a dynamic and evolving environment, the business has continued to expand its operations and requires an accountant who can support financial reporting, compliance and business performance. Finance is viewed as a key support function, partnering closely with stakeholders across the organisation to provide accurate information and commercial insights.
The Role
This is a broad accounting role offering exposure across financial reporting, planning and operational support.
Working as part of a collaborative finance team, you'll be responsible for maintaining reporting accuracy, supporting planning cycles and ensuring financial information is delivered in a timely manner. The position offers a balance of recurring reporting responsibilities alongside project and process improvement work.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing monthly reporting packs and financial analysis
- Maintaining general ledger integrity through reconciliations and journal processing
- Assisting with forecasting, budgeting and cashflow monitoring
- Supporting compliance activities including indirect tax obligations
- Assisting with audit requirements and year-end processes
- Providing financial support to operational stakeholders
- Supporting finance systems, reporting enhancements and process improvements
- Assisting with ad hoc analysis and business reporting requirements
About You
You’re a motivated accounting professional who enjoys taking ownership of your work and being involved in a range of finance activities. You have strong attention to detail, enjoy working with stakeholders and are comfortable balancing multiple priorities.
You’ll bring:
- Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
- CA or CPA qualification (or currently progressing towards completion)
- Experience within a commercial accounting environment
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence using financial systems
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capability
- A proactive approach and willingness to contribute beyond your core responsibilities
