The Role Reporting into the overseas finance team, you'll be responsible for the full accounting function for the Australian business, including:
- End-to-end financial accounting, month-end and year-end close
- Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and bank reconciliations
- Payroll coordination with external providers
- BAS preparation and statutory reporting
- Financial reporting, reconciliations and analysis
- Budgeting and forecasting support
- Intercompany accounting
- Managing external auditors and tax advisors
- Workers Compensation, FBT and other compliance requirements
- Inventory accounting and inventory reconciliations within a wholesale/distribution environment
- Monitoring inventory movements and ensuring inventory records remain accurate
- Reconciling third-party logistics (3PL) records to the ERP system
- Acting as the key finance contact for the Australian business while partnering with the global finance team
- 5+ years' experience in a Financial Accountant or Company Accountant position
- Experience managing the full accounting function independently
- Experience within a wholesale, distribution, import/export or product-based business
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously
