Our client is an established business in the construction space with a busy, well-supported finance team. They are looking for a reliable and detail-focused Accounts Payable Officer to join them on a temporary basis, covering a period of annual leave.
The Role
Reporting to the finance team, this is a hands-on accounts payable role across a portfolio of construction projects. The main focus is keeping the payables and payments cycle running smoothly, with a full handover and training provided by the existing AP officer.
Responsibilities include:
- Processing project accounts payable invoicing and payments
- Managing subcontractor invoices and payments
- Updating the cashflow workbook (training provided)
- Working within the project accounting system day to day
- Accounts payable experience, ideally within construction or another project-based environment
- Familiarity with a construction or project accounting ERP (Cheops highly regarded)
- Strong administration skills and a sharp eye for detail
- Comfortable managing a high volume of invoices
- Proactive and dependable, able to pick things up quickly
- Available to start at short notice
- $90k - $95k + super
- Short-term contract with a supportive, established finance team
- Sydney CBD location, close to public transport
