A well- established organisation is searching for a Assistant Accountant to join their team. This role will be working as part of an established team and will be on a 6 month contract role with a strong potential to go permanent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare daily reporting and complete timely bank, suspense, intercompany, and general ledger reconciliations, ensuring all reconciling items are investigated and cleared.
- Maintain prepayment schedules and process accurate, timely journals, including reconciliations between HR and Financial Practice Management.
- Manage manual invoicing for client service recharges and book sales, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Support monthly close and year-end processes, including audit preparation, and assist Treasury with cash forecasting and related journals when required.
- Provide ad-hoc general ledger support, analysis, and administration while complying with WHS obligations and promoting a safe, respectful workplace.
About You
- Studying towards or completion of an accounting diploma/degree
- Need 2-3 total years' experience within a similar role
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Great verbal and written communication skills
