    An opportunity now exists for an Assistant Accountant to join the finance team, reporting directly to the CFO.

    The Role
    This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious, junior accountant to build a strong technical foundation within a fast paced, high performing business. The successful candidate will support the finance team across month end processes, journals and workpapers, gaining broad exposure across property and funds management activities.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support the month end accounting process, including accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
    • Coordinate with project teams to align balance sheets and forecast costs to complete
    • Prepare monthly loan statements, recording interest, drawdowns and repayments
    • Assist with statutory reporting requirements, including BAS
    • Support end of year financial reporting tasks, including audit and financial statement preparation
    • Assist with investor register maintenance, including capital movements, distributions and redemptions
    • Provide support to the Accounts Payable function as required

    About You
    • Around 2 to 3 years' accounting experience, ideally with some exposure to property, funds management or a related industry
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
    • Part qualified CA or CPA, or looking to commence studies
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
    • High numeracy and sound technical accounting skills
    • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to workpapers and reconciliations
    • Good time management and the ability to prioritise across competing deadlines
