The Role
This is a 6-month fixed term Audit Manager opportunity with genuine potential to transition to permanent. The role has been created to support the business through the busy season, with planning and preparation commencing from May.
This is a broad, hands-on role requiring oversight of two key audit streams, Corporate Audit and SMSF Audit. You will manage workflow, review files, and act as the key point of contact for clients, while overseeing an offshore audit team.
Given the volume and variety of work, this role suits someone who enjoys ownership, structure, and being involved across both technical review and administrative follow-up.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee corporate, NFP, trust account, listed entity, and SMSF audits
- Take ownership of a large SMSF audit portfolio (approx. 500 funds), including file management and clearing audit queries
- Review audit files and ensure quality, accuracy, and deadlines are met
- Oversee and support an offshore audit team
- Conduct regular check-ins to ensure day-to-day workflow remains on track
- Act as the primary client-facing contact for large portfolio
- Assist with audit planning and preparation for the June year-end period
- Manage administration and follow-ups across multiple engagements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Audit
- Background across corporate and NFP audit environments
- SMSF audit experience advantageous but not essential, training and support provided
- Comfortable managing multiple engagements and large audit portfolios
- Experience overseeing or working alongside offshore teams highly regarded
- Strong communication skills and confidence dealing directly with clients
- 6-month fixed term contract with potential to go permanent
- Salary range: $130,000 – $150,000 + Super, dependent on experience
