We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts & Payroll Officer to join a busy and collaborative team. This role offers a broad mix of responsibilities across finance administration and payroll support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety and working across multiple functions.
Mascot location with 2 days WFH.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Administration
- Coordinate and manage financial security documentation, including requests, updates, and cancellations
- Maintain accurate internal records and registers for reporting purposes
- Allocate associated costs to relevant projects or business units
- Support general finance activities, including cost tracking and reporting
- Assist with periodic compliance and statutory reporting requirements
- Process timesheet data and assist with end-to-end payroll preparation on a regular cycle
- Support payroll processing activities, including tax, adjustments, and journal entries
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, including onboarding and offboarding changes
- Assist with payroll reconciliations and month-end processes
- Respond to employee payroll and general HR-related queries
- Provide support with statutory obligations such as superannuation and payroll-related compliance
- 2+ years payroll experience in processing or assisting (essential)
- 3+ years experience in a similar bookkeeper or payrolll position
- Degree qualified
- No accounting experience required, although beneficial
