The Opportunity
This is a newly created role, reporting directly to a senior leader, where you’ll play a hands-on role in assessing and structuring commercial lending transactions. You’ll have real exposure to complex deals, close interaction with decision-makers, and the opportunity to help shape how commercial credit is done as the portfolio grows.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Reviewing commercial loan applications and conducting detailed credit due diligence
- Writing clear, commercially sound credit submissions covering structure, financial performance, and security
- Analysing financial statements, tax returns, tax portal data, and supporting documentation
- Assessing non-standard and non-conforming credit scenarios with sound risk judgement
- Working closely with senior leadership, credit, legal, and compliance teams
- Liaising with brokers, customers, accountants, solicitors, and valuers to progress transactions
- Representing the business professionally across a range of client and broker interactions
- 2+ years’ experience in commercial lending or commercial credit assessment
- Strong understanding of commercial lending products, business structures, and risk frameworks
- Confidence analysing complex financial and tax information
- Exposure to non-conforming or outside-the-box lending scenarios
- Clear written communication skills - you can explain risk and structure without hiding behind jargon
- A proactive mindset - you take ownership rather than waiting for instruction
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce, Business, or similar (highly regarded)
- Direct exposure to senior decision-makers - no layers of bureaucracy
