The Opportunity
Reporting into the Communications Manager, you'll play a key role across both internal and external communications, helping to elevate the organisation's profile while strengthening engagement with employees, clients and the wider community.
No two days will look the same. One day you may be drafting executive communications and coordinating a company-wide town hall, while the next you're writing a media release, developing client communications or representing the organisation at a community event.
With crisis communications managed externally through an agency, this role allows you to focus on proactive storytelling, relationship building and creating meaningful communications that support organisational growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop engaging internal communications including leadership updates, newsletters, presentations and company-wide announcements.
- Support executive communications including speeches, talking points and town hall content.
- Write compelling media releases and proactively pitch positive stories to media outlets.
- Build relationships with local communities, stakeholders and retirement village residents to strengthen community engagement.
- Coordinate community events and engagement initiatives.
- Develop client communications including newsletters and service updates.
- Create content across digital and communication channels while maintaining brand consistency.
- Work closely with Marketing, HR and operational leaders on organisation-wide communication campaigns.
- Monitor communication effectiveness and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
You'll be an experienced communications professional who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with hands-on content creation.
You'll also bring:
- Experience across internal and external communications.
- Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills.
- Experience writing media releases and developing communications for a range of audiences.
- Confidence building relationships with internal stakeholders, community groups and external partners.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A collaborative, proactive approach and the confidence to contribute new ideas.
- Qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or a related discipline.
